Chris Simmons

Chris Simmons has worked with business leaders for the last 30 years with a focus on business strategy, human resource management and organizational culture change.

In 1993, after a decade in the corporate world working as an internal catalyst on significant organizational restructuring, Chris established his own consulting firm, Benchmark Communication, based in Auckland. Change projects with clients such as Air New Zealand, Warehouse Group and Yellow Pages have seen Chris work across industry sectors. In 2015, Chris was involved development of a strategy workshop series to assist SME clients achieve quantum business growth.

Chris is currently Director, Strategy & Culture for 9 Spokes International, a technology company recently listed on the ASX and experiencing global growth.

In 2000, Chris became a forum trainer for YEO. He held the leadership role of Global Forum Chairman at EO during 2005-2007, instigating significant shifts in Forum Leadership and Forum Training. In 2007 Chris was award the top award by EO – Volunteer of the Year Award.

Chris became a YPO CFF in 2008, and is certified to deliver all YPO programs. He brings his unique touch to custom programs for different Forum and Chapter groups in countries ranging from New Zealand through India to the Middle East.

Chris has a Bachelor’s degree in marketing and behavioral sciences from the University of Waikato, Hamilton, NZ. He is married with two teenage children and enjoys waterskiing and other physical pursuits.
