Marlisa Brown

Marlisa is a Registered Dietitian, Certified Diabetes Educator, Chef, Author, and Professional Speaker. Marlisa works with organizations that want to target and promote healthful products, programs, and services. President of Total Wellness Inc. for over 20 years, she has a BS in marketing a MS in nutrition and has studied at the Culinary Institute of America. Marlisa is an International speaker, has worked with hundreds of top corporations, and is on the advisory committee for Todays Dietitian. Marlisa has made many television appearances including 5 years on International Cooking for the American Heart Association and has been featured on FOX 5, CNN and on FOODYTV. Marlisa is author of “Gluten-Free Hassle Free,” “The Gluten-Free Hassle-Free Cookbook,” and “Easy, Gluten-Free,” has contributed to many major publications including monthly contributions to Newsday’s Wellness Magazine. Marlisa has served as an officer on many boards, having been past president, media representative, and public relations chair of the New York State Dietetic Association. Marlisa is a recipient of the 2011 Diabetes Educator of the Year from the DCE of The American Dietetic Association, The Emerging Dietetic Leader Award from the American Dietetic Association, Dietitian of the year from The Long Island Dietetic Association, Best of Long Island from the L.I. Press, and the Community Service Award from C.W. Post.
