Melanie Notkin is a media entrepreneur, bestselling author, keynote speaker, marketer, media personality, and leading voice of childless, often single, women. Notkin uncovered this growing demographic and given these women a voice with her brands: SAVVY AUNTIE® and OTHERHOOD®.

Savvy Auntie is the lifestyle brand for the growing trend of (childless) aunts. She launched the Webby Award-nominated SavvyAuntie site in 2008. Her first book, "SAVVY AUNTIE: The Ultimate Guide for Cool Aunts, Great-Aunts, Godmothers and All Women Who Love Kids" is a WSJ bestseller. in 2009, she established Auntie's Day and the Coolest Toy Awards.

Notkin's reported memoir, "Otherhood: Modern Women Finding a New Kind of Happiness" (2014) was inspired by her Huffington Post column and received a prestigious Booklist *Starred Review."

In 2008, Notkin uncovered the PANK® (Professional Aunts No Kids), the new marketing frontier of influential female consumers. Her national joint-studies, Power of the PANK (12/12) and Shades of Otherhood (4/14) focuses on the demographics of non-moms. Euromonitor International named Notkin's work a Top 10 Global Consumer Trend for 2016.
