Steven M. Mintz is a Professor Emeritus from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo. Dr. Mintz is the holder of a DBA in Accounting from George Washington University and an MBA in Management from Syracuse University. He has published dozens of articles on business and accounting ethics and has written a textbook titled Ethical Obligations and Decision Making in Accounting: Text and Cases (4th edition). Steve is the Editor of a volume in Advances in Business Ethics Research titled “Accounting for the Public Interest.” He also is the Associate Editor for Research on Professional Responsibility and Ethics in Accounting. During his long and distinguished career, Steve has made many presentations on business and accounting ethics and developed courses on ethics topics. Steve is a recipient of the 2015 Accounting Exemplar Award given out by the Public Interest Section of the American Accounting Association. Steve’s Ethics Sage blog was selected as one of 30 exceptional CSR blogs (2015) and one of the top 100 blogs in philosophy (2016).
