Jeff Thredgold is the only economist in the world to have ever received the CSP (Certified Speaking Professional) designation from the National Speakers Association, the highest earned designation in professional speaking. His career includes 24 years with $105 billion banking giant KeyCorp, where he served as Senior VP & Chief Economist. He also served as economic consultant to $55 billion Zions Bancorporation for 17 years, as well as serving as economic consultant to three different Oregon banks.

He was quoted regularly by the nation's financial press, including regular appearances on CNBC-TV and CNN. He wrote a weekly economic & financial newsletter for 37 years, read by as many as one million people weekly.

Besides his banking clients, he served as economic consultant to Kelly Services and to Salt Lake County (UT)..

Jeff is the author of four books, including Economy by Thredgold, A Parent's Letter to My Children in School, and On the One Hand...The Economist's Joke Book. His latest book, econAmerica, was released by major publisher Wiley & Sons in New York City.

He was a monthly contributor to surveys of Blue Chip Financial Forecasts, Bloomberg, and USA TODAY for many years. He served as an adjunct professor of finance at the University of Utah for 16 years. Now semi-retired, he enjoys traveling the world with his wife of 30 years Lynnette. He is the father of six children, with 17 grandchildren.
